SYNOPSIS

Wrapped in colourful layers of amusing and entertaining stories of thieves, lovers, lemon castles and high voltage, Hard Make-Up is an stunning piece of art-house cinema that tells the story of a group of absurdly fascinating men and women who steal a truck of fireworks and take a long road trip to sell it out to an unusual heck of a customer.

The director of 3 successful feature films in the last 11 years, Hamid Nematollah started his professional filmmaking career as the assistant to Masoud Kimiai, one of the most acclaimed filmmakers of the Iranian cinematography. Hard Make-Up is Hamid’s third feature film and has already created a strong cult following early on after its premiere in Fajr Film Festival.
